We’ve found that doing relabel prints on light colored garments will almost always show through to the back. This can be minimized by using lighter ink colors and heavier weight fabric, but can rarely be avoided completely. If you go look at retail brands you will often see the same phenomenon, sometimes mitigated by using heat transfers.
What can you do about this?
- Use a small tag print.
- Minimize solid ink coverage, use negative space.
- Use the lightest ink color that will still have some contrast (light grey?)
- If you have a nape print it might interfere.
- Learn to be OK with the ink color showing through a bit. It’s the reality of the process.
